Busy days in schedule, where employee cannot request a day off
Gerda Ao
It would be useful to have a feature that allows managers to mark certain days as “busy work days” or “locked,” meaning employees wouldn’t be able to mark themselves as unavailable on those dates without prior discussion.
This would help with planning around key events — for example, scheduled deep-cleaning days where full team participation is needed, or busy summer days when many want time off but we still need coverage.
The goal is to bring back the moment of discussion before time-off is taken on critical days, instead of having it automatically accepted through the system.

Great to hear your perspective, Gerda Ao! Following up on this:
- What specific criteria should be used to determine which days are marked as 'busy work days' or 'locked'?
- How much advance notice should employees receive about these 'busy work days' or 'locked' days?
- Should there be any exceptions or special considerations for certain employees when marking days as 'busy work days'?
